Photographer Evşen Süleymanoğlu was born in Varna. She left Bulgaria during the "Forced Migration" in 1989 where her childhood passed, and moved to Istanbul with her family.
She studied food engineering, and until now she had travelled to more than fifty countries. The photographer who experienced cultures in different geographies, lived for a while in Jakarta in 2012 and later moved to Milan in 2014.
Evşen Süleymanoğlu who is based in Brussels since 2023, continues to pursue photography art professionally which she was inspired by her father and later studied in “Istituto Italiano di Fotografia” in Milan in 2015.
Her works has been published by Corriere Della Sera and la Repubblica.
She is a student of Magnum photographer Nikos Economopoulos, and while following her curiosity for different cultures and the way of living; reflects how all these affect human life and human’s position in life, through her documentary or conceptual photography works.
